The FEG PA-63 is a close copy of the Walther PP and PPK pistols of the 1940's. The PA-63 in 9mm Makarov caliber became a standard Hungarian military and police sidearm. The PA-63 had a larger frame with more curved backstrap for a better hold than what the Walther offered. They also replace the steel frame with one made of lightweight aluminum alloy, reducing overall weight by several ounces.
Due to it's weight and small size the PA-63 makes an excellent concealed carry weapon.
