Russian Mosin Nagant M44

In 1944 a new design of the Mosin Nagant was adopted and continued threw 1948. This Mosin Nagant was a carbine. It was based off of the Model 38 rifle. It measures 40 inches. One of the new features of the model 44 was a permanently attached side folding bayonet. It still fires the 7.62x54 cartridge. This particular rifle is dated 1947.
